Brawny, horn-charged r&b and blues is what one expects from a Roomful of Blues alumnus and singer/cornet player Al Basile serves up just that. A robust vocalist, much in the style of ROB founder (and producer here) Duke Robillard, Basile spells his singing with delightfully throwback solo work on his horn. Mr. B. completes the hat trick with lyrics that are, in turn, streetwise and incisive- “Keep Your Love, Where’s My Money?”, light-hearted and down to earth- “I’ve Got To Have Meat” and steamy and suggestive- “Midnight Blue Persuasion”.  In addition to that sweet, sassy horn, there are tasty guitar breaks courtesy of Robillard & “Monster” Mike Welch and nice keyboard work from Bruce Bears.
