Frankie V and the Lonely Club
hayward - California - United States

The members of, Frankie V and the Lonely Club, have played together in one form or another for over 20 years. They grew up and nurtured their musical chops in the East Bay Area south of Oakland, home to power house bands like, Tower of Power, Y&T, Night Ranger and Eddie Money.

Over the years they've played all the major San Francisco Area clubs, headlining and opening for bands like, Journey, Tower Power, Y&T, Greg Kihn, The Sons of Champlin and Eddie Money to name a few.

Frank “Frankie V” Vigliotti began his musical journey like a lot of his contemporaries, the day after The Beatles played on the Ed Sullivan, but unlike most of them he continues to this day to Perform and write his own music. One of the first big shows he played was opening for Woodstock, not the concert, the movie. It was in front of a sold out crowd of 1400 people before the theater showed the movie Woodstock, not a bad way to start your career.

To get into the top clubs at that time you needed to play original material so along with a bandmate he did just that and it took off from there.

In 1980 he met Robert Anthony, road manager for Tower of Power and Heart, who agreed to produce a single of Frankie's original songs, “Waiting for You b/w I Want a Woman. While Frankie played guitars on the recording, Skyler Jet was tapped to sing the lead vocals. Skyler went on to sing with the Commodores after Lionel Richie left that group, he also fronted a version of Sly and the Family Stone. The Tower of Power horns arranged and played on the single.

Shortly after that Frankie was drafted to play Electric and Acoustic Guitar on some recordings for Tower of Power.

He played  in various groups with the musicians that eventually formed into Frankie V and the Lonely Club.
