Invented in the UK by the likes of Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Free and Led Zeppelin, it takes a big sound and a bold approach, especially in the 'power trio' format. One such band who embellish a lot of the necessary properties are UK Blues/Rock act ‘Mark Pontin Group', or MPG for short. Led by Welsh guitar wizard Mark Pontin, the band thrive both in the studio and live with strong songwriting and improvisation at the very core of everything they do.
