About the Band
Tidalwave Road hails from Williamsburg, KY in the heart of the Daniel Boone Country, the “Gateway To The Cumberlands,” and a hotbed for high energy, foot-stomping bluegrass music. First formed in 2012, the current members include Ben Parker (banjo), Carlie Parker (mandolin), Daniel Parker (bass), and Robert Sulfridge (guitar).
The band was the winner of the 2023 SamJam Festival Band Competition, sponsored by Pinecastle Records. Our grand prize was the opportunity to record for 3 days at Pinecastle’s Bonfire Recording Studio in Piedmont, SC. We arrived intending to record a 5 song EP and with the help of Lead Engineer and Producer, Steve Wilson, we were successful!
Our approach to bluegrass is different, it’s Kentucky, and it's ALL heart! We hope you all enjoy the BONFIRE SESSIONS!
