Guitarist / composer Sam Fossbakk returns in 2022 with another music masterpiece from his fantastic band Professor Tip Top. In 2020, Tomorrow Is Delayed stirred the musical imagination of prog-rock fans worldwide while the 2022 release of the 9-track, 41-minutes Lanes Of Time takes the Professor Tip Top sound to new and exciting heights. Featuring Sam’s guitar and synths backed up by Sonia Otto (vocals, keys), Stein Høgseth (bass) and Charles Wise (drums), Lanes Of Time is clearly the band’s finest release to date.

Case in point is the album’s title track. Featuring lead vocals and keyboards by Ms. Otto, the song starts the album off in classic Professor Tip Top style. It’s worth noting the meticulous way that the entire Lanes Of Time album was recorded and true to form, the album packaging, even viewed on the smallish CD album art, is stunning to say the least. Despite being ostensibly a rock album, the pulsating sonic energy features unique and creatively controlled recording methods, and the result is very easy on the ears. With one remarkable track after the next, Professor Tip Top’s 2022 masterpiece, Lanes Of Time is yet another winning album by Norway’s finest progressive rock band.
