Besides his own talents, well-traveled guitarist Henderson here displays a decided knack for picking top-notch bandmates.  Frequently stealing the show here is pianist Kevin McKendree.  His solid work provides much of the momentum for this hard-driving, hard-rockin’ set. The leader provides his moments as well, the smokin’ slow blues “Weepin’ And Moanin’” being a prime example.  The band’s finessed, swinging recast of Hound Dog Taylor’s gritty gem “It’s Alright” is another standout.
