Tulsa-based singer/guitarist Jacob Tovar sells this “sawdust joint” set with a convincing throwback delivery and a tight little backup band in tow. The “live” nature of the recording lends further flavor to this tasty session.  Covers of Lefty Frizell’s “If You’ve Got The Money” and the Ted Hawkins gem “There Stands The Glass” mesh well with originals including “Tips and Beer” and “Three Good Reasons”.
