Lively play, NOLA style, and solid songwriting make for most satisfying results on Scott Ramminger’s new offering.  The Huntsville-bred vocalist/saxophonist deals out both humor and heartsickness, consistently dosed with ear-grabbing lyrical savvy.  Factoring hugely in this set’s success are Ramminger’s choice in vocal partners, siding up to Bekka Bramlett, Francine Reed, Janiva Magness and The McCrary Sisters on various tracks.  Standouts include “Someone New To Disappoint”, “Hoping That The Sun Won’t Shine” and the title track.  Instrumental backup is top-notch Crescent City fare.
