The graceful melodies, the pleasingly modest charm and the remarkably unforced sounding cross-weave of roots strains and pop savvy that graced Dori Freeman’s previous efforts are, to the pleasure of the initiated, in vivid presence on her new offering.  And as before, whether cheerful or blue, there’s an assuring warm-heartedness that is pervasive here. All of the above are well attended to by producer Teddy Thompson who additionally proves himself an excellent duet partner on the heart tugging “2 Step”.  Other noteworthy tracks on a thoroughly charming set include “All I Ever Wanted”, “Go On” and “That’s How I Feel”.
