Lyrics

Its A Bird Its A Plane

I'd have that red towel tied so tightly
Round the collar of my navy PJ's
Cherry Speedos worn on the outside
I'd turn the TV on at four each day
From chair to chair
Like a bullet I would sail through the air

It’s a bird; It’s a plane it’s a Superman
Incredible what tiny eyes can see
Amazing how a little child found Superman
Inside an ordinary guy like me

A glass of milk at the kitchen table
A stack of bills that never goes away
And all the worlds I was going to conquer
Will have to wait until another day
And it seems
This pen is adding up my broken dreams

But what’s this an assignment?
A list of role models you had to write
Look who’s your number one hero
I never knew that I could fly that high

Surprise
That X-ray vision saw through my disguise
