About the Album

Montana Recording Artist Doug Adkins

With a rich, deep voice and distinctive song writing style, Montana Americana Country singer-songwriter Doug Adkins is  releasing his 9th studio album “Dirt Roads and Fence Lines.”  This is the follow-up to the 2016 CD “Lonesome.”

The first single, titled “Second Hand Heart,” is being shipped to Routes Mu.  sic, Americana and Country stations across the U.S. and Europe.  Your continued support of Doug Adkins music is greatly appreciated!   You can view the video for the single "Second Hand Heart  here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUFKotnHqSg

20 years of writing and singing country songs is marked with the release of arguably the best writing of his career.  Songs full of imagery and storytelling about life growing up in Montana and the Midwest.  If you ever wanted to take a peek inside a songwriters’ mind, this is it! The listener is given a powerful opportunity to connect with the artist himself through words and imagery.  “Dirt Roads and Fence Lines”, the 9th studio cd will have you wishing you too could buy an old pickup truck and head on down an old dirt road.

The lyrics of this latest CD, "Dirt Roads And Fence Lines," are full of imagery from Montana and the Midwest.  In songs like "Small Montana Town," "Good Ol' Days," "Wish It Were Raining,"  the listener is given a look behind the scenes of what life was like growing up in North Eastern Montana.
