About the Album

On a ghost tour of Charleston, SC, we were told the story of Lavinia Fisher.  In the early 1800's, she and her husband, John, ran The Six Mile Wayfarer's House.  Travelers to the Inn met their demise after drinking Lavinia's special tea.  They were murdered for their money and belongings.  Lavinia was so beautiful and charming that they got by with their crimes for quite some time.  Until one traveler became suspicious, escaped and Lavinia and John were sentenced to hang.  Many claim her ghost still haunts the city jail in Charleston.  This story gripped the imagination of Rhyan, who wrote this 12-song concept album.  Beginning in present day from the traveler's perspective, the album leads the listener back in time and ultimately into Lavinia's perspective, all the way to her demise. The album features cover art by Jessica von Braun and musical guests Fats Kaplin, Carl Verheyen, Warren Hood and more!
