Prayers for Mel Tillis and Merle Haggard Today on her Facebook page, Pam Tillis, the daughter of Mel Tillis asked for prayers for her Dad. She said that he is not getting well as fast as he should.  The fact is that Tillis was operated on back on January 8, 2016 so it has been 3 weeks since his surgery.  He is still in the hospital and still struggling to heal and get well.
