Taylor Swift’s 1989 was 2014’s most-discussed album release, similar to the buzz Beyoncé’s surprise self-titled album received in 2013.
The numbers show that 1989 deserved the attention, in the last week of 2014 it became the top-selling album of 2014 in the United States.
