In 2020, New Age composer Chuck Wild/Liquid Mind® released the highly successful album Liquid Mind XIII: Mindfulness. Released at the start of the global pandemic, the 6-song, 65-minute album release is very much worth hearing. Considered the second most popular album in the Liquid Mind discography, Mindfulness is regarded as a unique sounding masterpiece of instrumental New Age meditation music. Revisiting Mindfulness in 2023, Chuck has taken one of the album’s finest tracks, “The Wisdom Of Kindness” and has created and released a remix track entitled “The Wisdom Of Kindness Flute Remix (featuring Bryan Baker)”, released on August 25, 2023.

In its 18-album repertoire, this special track from Liquid Mind is quite unique as it’s the first time that another artist has appeared on a Liquid Mind release. Recording artist and flautist Bryan Baker adds a masterful touch to this 2023 Liquid Mind remix track. The original track was first featured on Liquid Mind XIII: Mindfulness - one of the most iconic albums in the Liquid Mind catalog. The addition of Bryan Baker performing on “The Wisdom Of Kindness” adds a new dynamic, and while the original track from the album clocks in at over ten minutes, this remix condenses the track to just over five minutes. The original intent and spirit of “The Wisdom Of Kindness” remains intact and is further enhanced by the addition of Bryan Baker’s Alto Flute playing.

The story of how Chuck Wild and Bryan Baker met is quite interesting too in that Chuck’s nephew and family were visiting California from overseas and he took them out to a vegan restaurant in Orange County. Chuck and his family were enjoying their dinner that night while listening to a flute and guitar player performing there. It turned out that Bryan Baker, half of the duo performing that night, was a big fan of Liquid Mind. Chuck and Bryan made plans to get together and several months later they decided on creating a remix track based on a track from Liquid Mind XIII: Mindfulness.

While the original version of Liquid Mind’s track, “The Wisdom Of Kindness” was composed, performed, produced, recorded, mixed by Chuck Wild, the 2023 release of “The Wisdom Of Kindness Flute Remix” was remixed by Chuck and Bryan Baker. The original track on the Mindfulness album featured co-production, mixing and additional programming by Jonathan Marozik.

Together Chuck and Bryan have created a truly meditative and transcendent listening experience that, in their mind, “honors the concept of kindness” and is a fitting tribute to that track and the entire Mindfulness album from 2020. New cover art by Glen Wexler adds further elegance to the remix track release.

Perhaps Chuck Wild sums it up best by including a quote from Chinese Buddhist philosopher Lao Tzu with the quote, “Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.”
