Charlottesville, VA (October 30, 2026) — Rebel Records is proud to announce the release of Never Say Goodbye, the highly anticipated new album from traditional bluegrass champions High Fidelity. Led by guitarist and vocalist Jeremy Stephens and fiddler and vocalist Corrina Rose Logston Stephens, the band delivers a 13-track set featuring ten secular selections and three gospel numbers. Showcasing exceptional musicianship, tight vocal harmonies, and a remarkable ability to breathe new life into rarely heard songs, Never Say Goodbye captures the distinctive sound and deep appreciation of the genre's earliest roots that have defined High Fidelity since its beginning.
“We are excited about this record!" exclaims High Fidelity guitarist and vocalist Jeremy Stephens. "We've poured our heart, soul, and a portion of our life into it. We love it!”
The album was preceded by two singles, “Red Ball Rocket Train” and “The Lonesome Road,” offering listeners an early taste of the new collection. Among the album's highlights is the title track, “Never Say Goodbye,” a rare Louvin Brothers composition that Ira and Charlie Louvin never recorded commercially. Corrina Rose Logston Stephens adapted the song's original three verses into two, with Jeremy jumping over to mandolin and performing in a crosspicking style similar to Jesse McReynolds, giving the number a very Jim & Jesse-inspired feel. The classic Delmore Brothers song “When It's Time for the Whippoorwill to Sing” features special guests Joe Mullins and Mark Rader, longtime bandmates in The Traditional Grass, with twin banjos from Mullins and High Fidelity's Kurt Stephenson and a soaring high trio on the final chorus.
The gospel selection “In the City Where the Lamb Is the Light” continues the tradition of including a fan-favorite, Chuck Wagon Gang-style a cappella number on a new HiFi album while “Home in San Antone” features mandolinist Daniel Amick's very first lead vocal on a High Fidelity recording. Rounding out the highlights are two lively instrumentals, the fiddler Joe Greene-inspired “Cattle in the Corn” and Ralph Stanley's “Fling Ding,” which put the band's impressive picking on full display.
For Corrina Rose Logston Stephens, the album represents a deliberate commitment to the kind of music that has always inspired the band: “In a world where everything is increasingly computerized, AI, and spoon-fed from a machine, this record has been our heart project. We’ve always been a little counter-culture by intention, but for this album we said, ‘Let’s just go full in,’ for what I’d consider our most hardcore bluegrass offering yet. We let our influences inform us in new ways, and everyone gave a little extra, as if to say, ‘Hey, we’re still here making music that the robots will never understand.’”
With Never Say Goodbye, High Fidelity demonstrates that traditional bluegrass remains as compelling as ever. Through inspired song choices, masterful picking, and heartfelt performances, the band honors the music that shaped them while bringing fresh energy to songs deserving of a wider audience.
High Fidelity's Never Say Goodbye is available now from Rebel Records on CD, LP, and all major digital platforms.
ABOUT HIGH FIDELITY
High Fidelity carries the power and soul of classic bluegrass from the 1950s and '60s into the present day, drawing direct inspiration from artists like Don Reno & Red Smiley, The Stanley Brothers, The Louvin Brothers, and Jim & Jesse. This devotion is reflected even in the band's name, echoing the "high fidelity" label once proudly stamped on records of that era. Formed in early 2014, the group won first place in the International Band Championship at the 40th Annual SPBGMA Awards that same year and earned three consecutive IBMA New Artist of the Year nominations. The lineup features Jeremy Stephens (guitar, banjo, lead vocals), Corrina Rose Logston Stephens (fiddle, harmony vocals), Kurt Stephenson (banjo, harmony vocals) and Daniel Amick (multi-instrumentalist, harmony vocals), winner of IBMA's 2019 Instrumentalist of the Year Momentum Award. Often compared to the Johnson Mountain Boys for the way they channel classic-era bluegrass through a fresh, modern lens, High Fidelity has won over audiences of every generation, from grandparents to grandchildren alike.
