Chicago Blues All-Stars
Chicago - Illinois - United States

CHICAGO BLUES ALL-STARS are a musical revue that features some of the most talented, entertaining and legendary artists gracing today’s music scene. Together they create a singular sound that is uniquely eclectic while drawing on all styles of Americana for inspiration. Leading CBAS are “KILLER” RAY ALLISON and CHICAGO SLIM, whose musical styles reflect their lifelong commitment as blues disciples.

The talent of these performers is only matched by those legendary artists that CBAS has shared the stage and recorded with domestically and internationally. Chicago Blues All-Stars have worked alongside legendary artists such as: Jeff Beck, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, Albert Collins, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, B.B. King, Ohio Players, Rolling Stones, Otis Rush, Koko Taylor, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, Junior Wells and Johnny Winter.

“KILLER” RAY ALLISON (GUITAR/VOCALS): First broke into music during the early 1970s and has been a regular on the international blues circuit for over four decades. "Killer" Ray has been an integral force in the bands of James Cotton, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Muddy Waters, and Junior Wells. In 1998 and 2000, Ray was nominated for a W. C. Handy/Blues Music Award as an instrumentalist. He's also a featured performer on Eagle Rock Entertainment's 2012 DVD/CD release, "Muddy Waters and The Rolling Stones Live At The Checkerboard Lounge, Chicago 1981."

DANIEL "CHICAGO SLIM" IVANKOVICH (GUITAR/VOCALS): He cut his blues teeth at the tender age of 18 as the musical director for legendary guitarist, Otis Rush. Over the years, Slim has shared bills with Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy & Junior Wells, John Lee Hooker and Albert King. His critically acclaimed radio show "Out Of The Blue" has been syndicated in over 60 markets nationwide. Prolific credentials as bluesman, media personality, and humanitarian have amplified Slim’s standing within the entertainment industry.

ANJI BROOKS (VOCALS): At a young age, Anji Brooks is already a force to be reckoned with on the Chicago music scene. Her music comes from deep within her soul and the experiences that have shaped her life. While only in her early 30’s, she’s assumed duties as lead vocalist for Chicago Blues All-Stars. Brook’s passion for music, matched with her versatile and powerful voice, gives her performances a heart-pounding urgency.

ALL-STAR HORNS: R&B veteran Johnny Cotton anchors this lineup, featuring some of the country’s hottest horn players. They've played with and arranged for a virtual Who's Who of music, from iconic legends Lenny Kravitz and the Ohio Players to blues greats James Cotton and Bobby Rush. The All-Star Horns put the 'unk’ in your funk!
