About the Band
Terry Blade is a singer-songwriter, a two-time Hollywood Music in Media Award nominee, and a three-time recipient of the Global Music Awards - Gold Medal Award of Excellence. Since his 2020 debut, he has received over 170 awards and nominations for his music. A multi-genre artist, his musical work is grounded in his experience as a black queer artist with much of his recent work drawing inspiration from the blues.
Blade is known for his carefully crafted, poignantly composed, and mesmerizing musical compositions that have laid the foundation for his discography and what is to come. He has drawn comparisons to artists such as Meshell Ndegeocello, Tracy Chapman, and Amos Lee (among others). He was born and raised in Washington, DC, and currently resides in Chicago. Blade's music has been featured by Country Queer, Adobe and Teardrops, Yellow & Black, Tinnitist, and Alt77.
