About the Band
A collision of worlds, a fusion of sound: The story of Lance and Lea
Nashville's Lance and Lea prove that some of the most compelling musical stories are born from unexpected origins. Their journey began when Lea, a product of an Amish upbringing singing country and gospel hymns in church, crossed paths with Lance, a rock musician fresh from the grit of the Texas club scene. In a twist of fate, the two met in Nashville, and after a single songwriting session, the duo Lance and Lea was formed.
The result is a sound that reflects their opposite-side-of-the-tracks origins. Their music is rooted in old-school country and rock influences, driven by Lance's Texas blues guitar riffs and Lea's pure, soothing voice and harmonies. A creative engine that has written over 1,000 songs, their collaborative genius is the heart of their artistry.
The pair's debut album, There Goes My Heart, was released in 2018 and produced by Grammy award winner Paul Worley, garnering airplay in the UK, Ireland, and Nashville. The album's success led to them being named "New Artist Of The Year" at the 2019 iHeart Radio Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards, with the album itself nominated for "Album Of The Year" in 2020.
With a reputation for relentless touring and grassroots engagement, Lance and Lea have logged over 100,000 tour miles and counting. In 2020, they raised over $16,000 through a fan-funded crowdfunding campaign for their album Great Big World, released the following year. That same year, in the middle of a pandemic, they booked a 31-date Backyard PopUp Tour, covering 26 states and over 12,000 miles.
They continued this momentum with an 80-date, four-month-long "Summer Tour" in 2021, traveling across 38 states in a vintage RV nicknamed "The Honeybee." The late 2022 release of their album Songs From The Road capped a year that also saw them become semi-finalists in the American Songwriter Contest. A third consecutive 80-date summer tour followed in 2023.
The year 2024 was a major milestone with the release of their double album, Boots & Blues, a dual-sided reflection of their musical heritage. To celebrate, they launched another extensive tour playing venues and house shows, and even headlining their first festivals and fairs, performing for over 4,000 people. Building on that success, 2025 has seen a successful six-month tour and a landmark TV/film sync license for the new Lionsgate series, The Rainmaker.
Their new album Blues For Breakfast is set for release on May 29th, 2026.
