About the Band

Steel Union are an acoustic blues duo based in Peterborough in the UK, nestling somewhere between the borders of Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire.

Steel Union formed in 2006 to play authentic traditional acoustic blues and spirituals. The songs of the great Delta Blues and Country Blues players such as Son House, Robert Johnson, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, Lightnin' Hopkins, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Bukka White and many more.

More recently Steel Union have been playing and writing original compositions that draw from the tradition of Blues and Spirituals that give voice to life's experiences. The debut album of original compositions "Life...and Other Problems!" is available now.

Steel Union comprises Richard Gibson on Vocals & Harmonica (Blues Harp) and Richard Turner on Vocals, National Bottleneck/Slide Guitar & Acoustic Guitar.
