In addition to releasing 3 albums of his own music on CD in 2020, keyboardist Pat Strawser introduced me to a new double CD set entitled Stories Without Fingerprints from a band he also writes and records music with called, French TV. Nothing to do with television or from France but French TV is an instrumental progressive rock-fusion band from Louisville, Kentucky, believe it or not! Pat is actually the newcomer in the band, which has been playing since the mid 1980s and that also features founding members Mike Sary (bass, loops, samples), Katsumi Yoneda (electric guitars), and Jeff Gard and Mark L. Perry (drums). Interesting fact is that French TV have released ten albums over the years and, although one hundred percent original, influences abound from the great progressive UK rock bands to a number of American  jazz-rock fusion legends. Even as we enter 2021, French TV is one of the best kept secrets on the American instrumental jazz-rock fusion scene and Stories Without Fingerprints  is essential listening for listeners of contemporary jazz-rock fusion.
