Among the top tier of contemporary female blues vocalists, Deb Ryder further distinguishes herself as a songwriter to be reckoned with; the punch of her robust pipes consistently meeting up with equally potent lyrical content of a wide variety.  Present here are airplay candidates in abundance including the instantly infectious “Blues Is All I Got”, the insistent boogie “Just Be Careful” and the mood-setting, acoustic-accented title track.  The impressive guest list includes Ronnie Earl and Los Lobos members David Hidalgo and Steve Berlin.  Really good stuff.
