Eddie 9-volt’s searing, gritty vocals provide the ideal vehicle for propelling this set of mostly-original soul scorchers and decidedly blue-collar blues.  The Atlanta-born singer/guitarist’s “live-in the-studio” approach brings an in-the-moment feel to the proceedings much like that which emanates from the bandstand of a street corner bar on the right evening.  Standouts include “She Got Some Money”, “3AM in Chicago”, “Columbus Zoo Blues” and the title track.
