Soul and blues practitioner extraordinaire John Nemeth jumps in with both feet and works out through a delightfully retro-focused set which evokes the big-band sounds of the sort heard on early 60’s sides issued by the Duke and Peacock record labels.  Sharing songwriting chores with his co-producers, guitarist Joe Restivo and trumpeter/horn arranger Marc Franklin, Mr. Nemeth vocally infuses tracks including “Come On Moon” and “Time Is Fading Fast” with authority and flair.  The one cover, Lowell Fulson’s “3 O’Clock Blues”, is not to be missed.
