Centered around the power trio of Bojan Marjanovic (piano) Bjørnar Kaldefoss Tveite (upright bass) and Magnus Sefaniassen Eide (drums), the music on Don’t Take It So Personally is a masterpiece of acoustic piano-based jazz instrumentals.

Somewhat reminiscent of music from the late great pianists Lyle Mays and the still great Keith Jarrett, the sound here from Hüm is deliberate and pensive, no doubt reflecting those long, dark Nordic nights.
