Alongside the play of his reliable blues harp, Bob Corritore has shown a continual knack for consorting with prime female vocal talent. Two standout performances on his latest “& Friends” offering come courtesy of such a pair.  Francine Reed’s smoldering reading of the Memphis Slim ballad “I Guess I’m A Fool” and Nora Jean Wallace’s tight-and-tough, self-penned “It’s My Life” are bona fide highlights. Good stuff.
