Andrew Duncanson’s very convincing vocals are steeped in true-to-the-roots horn charts and rock-solid play overall on this most satisfying, mostly original soul and blues set.  Meaty lyric sets are a big piece of the picture as well on tracks including “Relearning To Climb,”Hold Me Back” and “Outer Space”.  Evoking a classic postwar blues feel is the title track, highlighted by exquisite play from guitarist and co-producer Kid Anderson.  Co-producer Michael Peloquin delivers on the other side of the glass as well on harmonica and sax.
