Earl Cate, of the Brothers band of “Union Man” fame, and venerable guitarslinger Jimmy Thackeray are the one-two punch on this recently released “live” performance from 2013, and a most satisfying bar-band session of cover tunes and jamming it is.  Cate’s bandmates guitarist Jason Davis and drummer Terry Cagle provide primary vocals on an energetic set that hits upon fare of the Stones, The Band, John Hiatt and Bill Withers, among others.  Standouts include “Hurt On Me”, “Same Love” and the Cate Bros.’ own “In One Eye & Out The Other”.
