‘60’s soul journeyman Wee Willie Walker returns here with a highly charged, diverse set stacked with airplay-worthy tracks.  A gritty soul shouter reminiscent of O.V. Wright, Mr. Walker takes on classic Memphis-to-Muscle Shoals rave-ups- “Read Between The Lines”, Percy Sledge-styled soul/country ballads- “Not That I Care” and Ray Charles-flavored jazzy fare- “Is That It?" with equal ease.  And prepare for one of the most soulful Beatles covers one will likely hear when he dives into “Help”.  A “year’s best” candidate.
