Retro production that evokes the sounds of the Chess and Excello labels provides an ideal surrounding for this tasty mix of blues classics and impressively simpatico originals.  The Toronto-based vocalist/guitarist/harmonica player’s knack for old-school sound and feel rings as genuine as they come.  Savvy, sparing accompaniment fills out an inspired-sounding throwback set.
