Powerhouse vocalist Gregg Martinez serves up a sublime set of deep soul nearly as wide in stylistic range as is his multi-octave vocal spectrum.  Covering Ann Peebles (“I Can’t Stand The Rain”), Sly Stone (“If You Want Me To Stay”) and hitting on rarefied gems in between, the Louisiana-bred Mr. Martinez never lets up here.  Neither does his thoroughly kick-butt studio band. Slotted among the primo covers here is a most airplay worthy original, the infectious “Remember You Used To Love Me”.
