LA-based roots-rocker Sam Marine serves up an all-too-brief set of solid originals; the opening and closing tracks, the title song and “Mike Lee” respectively, serving as sublime bookends, charged with an emotional urgency reminiscent of Steve Earle.  Good stuff.
