With a "big" horn tone and a nonchalant sense of swing- and the occasional Jr.Walker-esque shriek- Terry Hanck mines the same retro veins as do throwback masters Kim Wilson and Jimmie Vaughan.  At home with vintage r&b, blues, or classic rock-and-roll balladeering, the award-winning saxophonist/vocalist shows to be both a savvy writer and interpreter; his own "Smooth Tyrone", "Here It Comes" and "Come On Back" standing out as well as workups of Bobby Charles' "Why People Like That?" and the Howlin' Wolf/Willie Dixon gem "Howlin' For My Darlin'".  Guest keyboard ace Jim Pugh and band member guitarist Johhny "Cat" Soubrand turn in solid work as well.
