Vocal dynamo Kat Riggins and bassist/producer/writing partner Tim Mulberry serve up a satisfying, song-centric set of contemporary blues that rates among the best of this year’s fare.  The Miami-based Ms. R’s high-octane delivery meshes well with the fresh, stylish character woven throughout this all-original affair.  Standouts include the leadoff strut “Lucky”, the infectious rocker “Southern Soul” and the urgent, gospel-tinged “Mojo Thief”.
