About the Band

The award winning Western Swing Authority is a unique collaboration of some of Canada’s top studio and touring musicians who share a common love for classic Western Swing and fresh original songs that pay homage to the roots of traditional music.

Individual bios are highly accomplished, including multiple Canadian Country Music Awards and Juno nominations. They also include touring and recording credits with some of Canada’s biggest stars, including Gordon Lightfoot, Ian Tyson, George Canyon and Michelle Wright. Their love of music comes through in every performance and audiences all agree that the fun they have on stage is infectious.

The WSA has played many of Canada’s largest festivals and events such as The Havelock Jamboree, The CCMA Presidents Gala and The CCMA Legends Show.

In Oct of 2012 The Western Swing Authority released their sophomore album, All Dolled Up, and it has garnered a steady series of excellent reviews, awards and nominations.
