About the Band

The Family Sowell is an award-winning, bluegrass band, from the foothills of Knoxville, Tennessee.  They feature beautiful family harmony, driving instrumentation, and heartfelt originals along with their natural gift of showmanship.  Their latest project, “Same Kind of Different”, produced by Grammy-nominated producer, Ben Isaacs, was released this past February and showcases primarily original songs that have quickly become fan favorites.  One in particular, their single “Good Place”, has been featured by many DJ’s and even debuted at #10 on the Bluegrass Borderline’s Top Ten Countdown this past Sunday.
