While the subject matter runs the emotional gamut, the overall vibe of David G Smith’s new offering is as cozy and congenial as the back porch scene celebrated here in the lyrics of “Nightlife In The Stix”.  Even within the trying atmospheres of “Questions” and “In The Silence” and a current of warmth is ever present.  Both the title track and “I Got It All” are seasoned with just enough bitter-sweetness and “Ocean Soul” has the feel of a track that could catch on.  Backup is well-suited and superb throughout
